Sounds good so far, classic grant-maker, do-gooder stuff. Plus the MacArthur Foundation (the "Genius Grant" people) seems to like them. And, naturally, they underwrite some NPR programming. The interesting part will be looking into what kind of an impact pro-science organizations like this one (and others) actually have on research. Oh, yes, we will learn more about these guys...

TANGENT: Suzanne, Only Suzanne
Science is often about celebrating brilliant people. Suzanne Baumann's mini-comics aren't about science, but they are brilliant. This one I find especially brilliant.
